The dads at Fathers Building Futures built my family a dinner table that was built with the same love that is gathered around the table at each meal.Thank you.
FBF gave me structure in the midst of chaos. They gave me the love and support to know that I’m better than I believe. They were the family and friends that were there for me when I needed it the most.
We purchased this Lazy Susan at the Downtown Growers Market on Saturday. Love it! Fine craftsmanship and mission. Thank you.
I have obtained a job and we’re working on getting me another one. Through all my mess up’s it’s been no judgement and support all the way. I hope after leaving program I’ll continue to show you my progress down the road. We’re only going up from here.
So I needed a countertop for a new project in my kitchen at home. I remembered the incredible work I saw that was crafted by the men of the Fathers Building Futures program at PB&J Family Services. My Counter top needed to be 2 feet by 4 feet and at least 2 inches thick. What I found when I arrived at the workshop was more than I could have ever expected. I was given at least 5 choices of wood with recommendations from the craftsmen based on my description of intended uses. I made my selection and a week later I picked up a counter top that was highly polished and finished, crafted to my specifications and ready to use. It has become a conversation piece in my home and I continue to refer people to Fathers Building Futures where I know that the men take great pride in their work and guarantee the finest quality product. I love my counter top!
I am happy, sober, and have a full-time job because you guys gave me a chance to prove myself. I couldn’t ask for anything more than that. You guys gave me back my life and my motivation to move forward and do right.
When you see the stunning woodwork in the Fathers Building Futures showroom, you can admire the incredible craftsmanship. When you hear the stories of the fathers trying to rebuild their lives and support their children, you can respect the men for their work ethics and determination.
This program helped me to get my head focused on my career path and life goals. They have helped me make a successful transition back into society. They care on more than just a professional level, but on a personal level.
I’m happy there is actually a place that helps people who want to change their old ways. They provided me with an awesome job in the woodshop, helped me with the beginning steps of getting my daughters back, and supported my sobriety.
This program gives me something to look forward to everyday. They set us up with our training wheels for re-entering society. They give us tools, resources, and the time and opportunity to grow and help better ourselves. Once we finish, the training wheels are removed, and we’ve built the confidence to move forward. I’ve been in the system for over 10 years, and I’ve never had any support like this before.
Thank you three for being so so helpful in every way possible. Ya’ll were the silver lining to my transition back to the real world. Thanks for being understanding. Ya’ll could have let me go but you kept giving me second chances.
FBF treated me like family from day one when everyone else treated me like I don’t matter.
Thank you everybody here that runs the program for helping me succeed to be a better person and father. There are really great staff members that will reach to the moon and back for every one of us here. Thank you all.
Thank you guys for everything. I’m going to miss it here. It’s been a great experience and a big help.
Fathers Building Futures has helped me get my life back on track by providing me with life skills and support. They got my kids presents for Christmas which I’m thankful for.
FBF has helped me build a routine like going back to work and giving me accountability that I need to be consistent to show up to life.
The Fathers Building Futures program has given me a second chance; it has rescued me from the streets and gives me a reason to stay off drugs.
FBF has supported me in obtaining my social documents, teaching me about making better life choices and being consistent.
FBF has given me the strength and confidence to succeed in all aspects of my life.
At FBF I’m learning to work Basic Life Skills that I had no clue at one time where to start. It has helped me to stay focused and have faith that change is possible. With the help of staff, I learned to pace myself when I encounter obstacles that one time overwhelmed me.
